3T3-L1是从3T3细胞(Swissalbino)中经克隆分离得到的连续传代的亚系。该细胞从快速分裂到汇合和接触性抑制状态经历了前脂肪细胞到脂肪样细胞的转变。该细胞鼠痘病毒阴性;可产生甘油三酯,高浓度血清可增强细胞内脂肪堆积。
